Privacy Notice
Last updated:
Veridian Advisory LLC (Veridian, we, us) is responsible for the personal information it handles through this website and its business enquiry mailbox. This notice explains those practices; it does not replace any separate terms agreed for a client engagement.
Information we handle
When you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include, such as your name, company, role, contact details and description of your enquiry. Email links open your own email service; this website does not collect enquiries through an online form.
Our website hosting service, provided through Northwest Registered Agent, may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, requested pages and request times to deliver and secure the website.
Please keep initial enquiries non-confidential. Do not send sensitive personal data, confidential client or employer information, or material non-public information before appropriate arrangements are in place.
How we use it
We use enquiry information to respond, understand the support requested, assess suitability and potential conflicts, and discuss a possible engagement. We also use information where necessary to protect our systems, meet legal obligations or establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Who has access
Enquiries are accessible to authorised Veridian personnel who handle business enquiries. Service providers also process information as needed to support the website and email. Our website hosting and business email services are provided through Northwest Registered Agent.
Information may also be disclosed where legally required, or where necessary to obtain professional advice or protect legal rights. Providers may process information outside your country, where data protection laws may differ.
How long we keep it
For enquiries that do not lead to an engagement, we retain correspondence for up to 12 months after the last substantive contact, then delete it unless there is a legal reason to retain it.
Client engagement records, contracts and invoices are handled separately and retained according to the engagement and applicable legal, accounting and recordkeeping requirements. The 12-month enquiry period does not set the retention period for hosting logs or service-provider backups, which depend on the relevant provider's practices and obligations.
Your choices and requests
You choose what information to include in an enquiry. To ask about our handling of your personal information, or request access, correction or deletion, email info@veridianadvisor.com.
Depending on the law that applies, you may have additional rights, including to object to or restrict processing or complain to a data protection authority. We will assess requests under applicable law and may need to verify your identity. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations or protect legal rights.
Changes to this notice
We will update this notice when our practices change and revise the date above. Please check it again if you have questions about how the website or enquiry process handles information.
